Originally published in the spring of 2024, the GFOA recently recognized our 2023 PAFR report with the Award for Outstanding Achievement.
Since the launch of our PAFR, we have been continuously recognized by the GFOA for meeting the nationwide criteria for excellence and best practices. I thank our Department of Finance and Accounting staff for all their hard work in putting this together and ensuring our taxpayers are properly informed.
This award is a testament to our office’s commitment to transparency and accountability. It reflects the governing body and staff’s dedication to providing taxpayers with the clear and comprehensible government financial information that they deserve.
The Collier County Clerk’s PAFR, Dollar$ and $en$e, is part of ongoing efforts to provide the residents of Collier County a clear and concise overview of County finances. This is a compact 20-page version of the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR), containing information on sources and uses of County funds, general fund and enterprise fund revenues and expenditures, state of the local economy, current County debt, capital assets, and some major initiatives and accomplishments. This report is produced to enhance the accessibility and understandability of government financial reports to all Collier County citizens through a shorter and more visual presentation.
