The Clerk’s Office will continue to focus on expanding and sustaining operations. The leadership of the Clerk’s Office developed a four-year strategic plan centered on four key pillars: Community Outreach, Facilities, Sustainable Leadership, and Technology. These pillars support the continued growth and efficiency of the Clerk’s Office.
Pillar I – Outreach
As Clerk, I believe staying connected with our community is essential. Over the past three years, my team and I have hosted more than 90 community events on a variety of topics. In the years ahead, we will continue expanding these efforts and raising awareness about the valuable services the Clerk’s Office provides and our role in local government. If you’d like to schedule a presentation, please contact us at community.outreach@collierclerk.com.
Pillar II – Facilities
As Collier County grows, our facilities must keep pace. I’ve asked each department to review its workspace with a focus on accessibility, security, and functionality. Many of our buildings are aging, and updates are needed to maintain strong service for our customers and staff. A key goal is to bring all Clerk’s departments together in the Court Annex building. This will require relocating Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, and the Clerk’s data center, as well as upgrading the annex to provide generator support for Clerk operations.
Pillar III – Sustainable Leadership
Building and maintaining strong leadership and other key roles is essential to the long-term success of any organization. When critical employees leave, it can disrupt operations and impact business continuity. To ensure the Clerk’s Office remains strong and resilient, we are focusing on four core components of staff development:
- Identifying the roles that are vital to our continued success.
- Evaluating potential successors who can step into those roles.
- Developing employees through training and mentorship that prepare them for future leadership positions.
To support these efforts, we are implementing several key programs:
- Leadership Development: Equips employees with the skills and confidence to step into future leadership roles.
- Staff Development: Enhances performance and competencies for employees in all roles, including those not on a leadership track.
- Mentoring Program: Connects employees with experienced mentors who can guide their professional growth.
- Onboarding Program: Helps new employees understand our mission, values, and operations, setting them up for success.
- Post-Onboarding Program: Provides continued support for new or newly promoted staff through regular check-ins and feedback.
- External Leadership Opportunities: Encourages participation in local and statewide leadership programs.
Pillar IV – Technology
In today’s digital environment, technology is essential to the success and long-term growth of any organization. Our Clerk’s Information Technology Department collaborates closely with every core division to identify future technology needs that will enhance public services, improve operational efficiency, and reduce costs. We remain firmly committed to maintaining secure, reliable systems that support both our staff and community access.
Our work won’t end in four-years. This is a living plan that is used as an ongoing tool to stay current with technological advances. I look forward to sharing our progress each year and updating our strategic plans to ensure the Collier County Clerk’s Office remains a leader in county government!
