The Clerk’s Report – May 2025

It’s hard to believe we’re already approaching the halfway mark of the year! Time flies, and we hope that everyone is enjoying a fantastic spring season. With the beautiful weather we’re having, it’s the perfect time to appreciate all the beauty that Collier County has to offer.

Whether you’re planning to stay close to home or venture out for some summer travel, we want to remind you that the Collier County Clerk’s Office is here for you. Our dedicated team remains committed to delivering reliable, efficient, and accessible services to our community throughout the entire year.

As the summer season draws near, it’s important to remember that it also signals the beginning of hurricane season. While we all hope for calm weather ahead, preparation is key. Our office is proactively working behind the scenes to ensure that no matter what comes our way, the continuity of essential public services is maintained. We’re taking important steps to safeguard operations and resources, and we encourage all residents to do the same. Now is a great time to review your emergency plans, update your supply kits, and stay connected through trusted county alerts and official communication channels.

County staff is busy preparing budgets for the upcoming 2026 fiscal year.  In this newsletter, you will find a focus on the Annual Update and Inventory Report that evaluates the County’s capital infrastructure readiness as systems age and the County’s population continues to grow.  This provides a prelude to the full Board review of proposed budgets in June.  Budget workshop dates are scheduled on Thursday, June 19, 2025, and Friday, June 20, 2025.  This will begin discussions of the proposed maximum County tax rates that will be approved in July.

In this issue of our newsletter, we are excited to share several other updates and highlights from recent projects and initiatives. We’ve included coverage of recent community events, staff spotlights, and other informative content designed to keep you in the loop and engaged with what’s happening across the county.

We hope you find this edition to be both valuable and informative. Our team is always working to keep you up to date on the latest developments and services available through the Clerk’s Office. Thank you for staying connected with us, and please continue to look for future newsletters as we share more important updates, helpful resources, and stories from around Collier County.
