The Collier County Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller is proud to highlight a vital community resource: the Self-Help Center, a first-of-its-kind service in Collier County designed to assist individuals representing themselves in civil and family court matters.
Whether you’re pursuing a name change, filing a small claims case, or managing a landlord/tenant issue, the Self-Help Center is available to provide tools and guidance—regardless of financial status. While particularly valuable for those who cannot afford an attorney, the center is open to everyone seeking support for non-criminal legal matters.
The Self-Help Center provides public computers and access to court-approved forms for a variety of legal concerns, including:
- Small Claims
- Family Law matters
- Civil Injunctions for Protection
- Paternity
- Dissolution of Marriage
- Name Changes
- Landlord/Tenant Disputes
- What You Should Know:
- Please note that the Self-Help Center does not assist with criminal or traffic cases. Additionally, while a knowledgeable Deputy Clerk is on-site to help, they cannot offer legal advice.
- When and Where:
- The Self-Help Center is located at the Collier County Courthouse and is open Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
This innovative program furthers the Clerk’s commitment to improving access to justice and ensuring that every resident has the tools needed to navigate the court system with confidence. For more information, visit collierclerk.com.
