Section 1. (d), Article VIII, State Constitution, provides that “the Clerk of the Circuit Court shall be Ex-Officio Clerk of the Board of County Commissioners, auditor, recorder and custodian of all county funds.”

Services

• Audit the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) payments to ensure that transactions are valid, legal and meet a public purpose
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable for BCC, Supervisor of Elections (SOE), and Clerk’s Agency
• Maintain an inventory of County fixed assets, including tangible personal property, buildings, land and other Board-related improvements
• Manage cash including investment of surplus County funds
• Manage and report on County debt
• Process payroll for all BCC, Supervisor of Elections (SOE), and Clerk employees
• Account for grant funds
• Audit contract expenditures
• Prepare Department of Revenue tax filings
• Prepare financial reports, including the County’s Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR)
