Instructions for Filing a Foreign Judgment case in Collier County

Case Type Selection:

Case type selection is based on the type/value of Foreign Judgment (filing fee will assess as appropriate):

Case Type (Foreign Judgment) Filing Fee
DR – Family Law $400
CA – Circuit Civil $400
CC – County Civil | $500 – $2500 $175
CC – County Civil | $2501 – $15,000 $300
CC – County Civil | $15,001 – $30,000 $400
CC – County Civil | $30,001 – $50,000 $400

Documents filing – MUST be filed in the following order for automated systems workflow:

  1. File the Certified Copy of the Foreign Judgment with an affidavit of last known address for the parties as one document – filing fee for this is $42 (Clerk’s service fee for the Foreign Judgment)
  2. File Petition to Domesticate Foreign Judgment (if applicable)

Other fees to be included with filing:

  • A certified mailing fee per defendant/address will be required.
