By identifying risks, improving processes, and reinforcing internal controls, audits provide valuable insights that strengthen operations and protect taxpayer resources.<\/p>\n
Our office is home to an Office of Inspector General (OIG), which provides independent oversight by conducting audits, investigations, and reviews to promote accountability, transparency, and preserve the public trust of County funds and resources.<\/p>\n
International Audit Awareness Month is an opportunity to recognize the professionals who perform this important oversight work and to raise awareness about how audits contribute to strong, transparent government. Their efforts help build confidence in government operations and help ensure that communities are served with integrity.<\/p>\n
