The Recording Office had a busy and productive 2025, marked by increased customer engagement and expanded services. More people than ever are taking advantage of the convenience of eRecording and online marriage licenses, with an average of eight couples per month opting for an online ceremony. January and March saw significant growth in passport acceptances, and our clerk at the Growth Management Building worked diligently to assist more customers with in-house recording.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our Valentine\u2019s Day Ceremony and Vow Renewal event continues to thrive, with 18 couples marrying and 24 renewing their vows at the fifth annual celebration. The City of Naples Baker Park, Eva Sugden-Gomez Center served as a beautiful backdrop for the event, and couples and their guests enjoyed music, cake and punch, photos, and gift bags, generously donated by local businesses. The planning committee for the 2026 event is already hard at work, with registration open on our website.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2025, Passport Saturday saw a remarkable 64% increase over 2024, with 194 passport applications processed in just a few hours by more than 25 acceptance agents and our Information Technology department. For the first time, we were able to provide on-site passport photos, making the event even more convenient for applicants who struggle to apply during regular business hours.<\/span><\/p>\n

Last year, the Clerk\u2019s office introduced passport photo services at the main Recording office. This year, we expanded the service to three additional locations, Heritage Bay, Golden Gate, and Orange Blossom, allowing applicants to have their photos taken in various locations. We are also proud to announce that all our offices have received a Department of State designation of 100% compliance with passport acceptance procedures and policies.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Clerk\u2019s office remains dedicated to giving back to the community. Throughout the year, we participated in various charity drives, benefiting the County\u2019s Parks and Recreation children\u2019s book drive and the Shelter for Abused Women and Children. During November\u2019s National Veterans and Military Families Month, we began collecting and signing holiday cards for military personnel. For the first time, we offered free passport photos to all veterans and active military members in November.<\/span><\/p>\n

As the year draws to a close, we encourage you to submit any documents requiring recording in 2025 as soon as possible. It\u2019s an ideal time to apply for your passport ahead of spring travel.
