From managing public records and safeguarding county finances to supporting the court system and protecting taxpayer dollars, our mission continues with purpose and integrity.<\/span><\/p>\n

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM), a time to bring attention to an issue that impacts far too many individuals and families. Our office is dedicated to supporting survivors through access to court services, injunctions for protection, and compassionate service during incredibly difficult moments. We continue to work closely with partner agencies and the judiciary to ensure that every person seeking safety can do so without barriers.<\/span><\/p>\n

On September 18, 2025, the Collier County Commissioners adopted the County\u2019s FY 25-26 Budget for the period from October 1, 2025, to September 30, 2026. Setting millage (tax) rates and adopting the annual budget are arguably among the most important policy decisions the Board of County Commissioners makes each year. You can read more inside this issue.<\/span><\/p>\n

Last month, the Collier County Clerk of Court proudly hosted the 2025 Florida Court Clerks & Comptrollers (FCCC) Best Practices Training at the South Regional Library in Naples. It was a valuable day of collaboration and learning with fellow clerks and their teams.<\/span><\/p>\n

As always, we encourage community engagement and welcome your input. Whether visiting our offices, attending outreach events, or accessing services online, our goal is to serve you with excellence.<\/span><\/p>\n

BACK OF THE BOARD ROOM:<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Since the August newsletter, where we reported Collier County\u2019s $40 million commitment toward the new State Veterans\u2019 Nursing Home, it is important to note that the county’s total monetary contribution to this project amounts to $41,576,842.21 as detailed below.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Board approved $500,000 for the construction of a deceleration and turn lane for the Golden Gate Parkway entrance to the State Veterans\u2019 Nursing Home project. This project is not eligible for federal funding as it lies outside the footprint of the project boundaries.<\/span><\/p>\n

Collier County has contributed $30,000,000 for the Veterans Nursing Home, $10,000,000 for the Outpatient Services construction, and paid $76,842.21 in state administrative fees on the state escrow account. In addition, Collier County contributed 23.59 acres of land for the Veterans Nursing Home project.<\/span><\/p>\n
