<\/p>\nClerk Crystal K. Kinzel is inviting Collier County couples who have a penchant for anything spooky to tie the knot in this year\u2019s Halloween-themed Wedding Ceremony to be held on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at the Collier County Courthouse Chapel.<\/p>\n
This October, the chapel will once again be decorated for the fall season for couples wishing to tie-the-knot on Halloween. Couples and their guests are encouraged to wear costumes for the festive occasion. Costumes must adhere to courthouse security regulations with masks or face painting applied after passing through security and no costume accessories that are considered weapons are allowed, including plastic items such as plastic swords or handcuffs. Additionally, costumes must be publicly appropriate and cannot be revealing or otherwise sexually explicit.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is an opportunity for the couples to say their \u2018I Dos\u2019 while dressed in costumes expressing their creativity and unique personality,\u201d said Clerk Crystal K. Kinzel. \u201cI am looking forward to celebrating Halloween with the couples of our community.\u201d<\/p>\n

Appointment availability is limited, so couples who are interested are encouraged to register early to reserve their spots. The ceremony fee is $30 and should be paid upon confirmation of your appointment. Couples must secure a valid marriage license at the Clerk\u2019s office at least three days prior to the wedding day.<\/p>\n
To apply for a marriage license, visit the Clerk\u2019s website at CollierClerk.com and use the Marriage Button, or stop by the Recording Department on the 2nd Floor of the Collier County Courthouse or one of the Satellite Office Locations and present the following requirements: valid ID (Driver\u2019s License, State ID, Military ID, or Passport) and Social Security Number. Both parties must be present and should be at least 18 years old upon application.<\/p>\n
Couples should take note that marriage licenses are only valid for a 60-day period. Therefore, they must ensure that their marriage licenses are still effective on the day of the ceremony for their marriage to be valid. In applying for marriage licenses, standard rates will apply.<\/p>\n
