St. Patrick\u2019s Day<\/strong> is just around the corner and in addition to the Irish and green-themed festivities, one of the most iconic characters during this special day is the leprechaun and his pot of gold coins.<\/strong> While hunting for an actual pot of gold coins sounds like a fun activity, you don\u2019t really have to look far to find money that is rightfully yours.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

At the Collier County Clerk\u2019s Office, you might find money that belongs to you<\/strong>. We have compiled a list of unclaimed monies for the Clerk\u2019s Office, the Board of County Commissioners, and Tax Deed Funds. If you feel that you have outstanding monies due to you,\u00a0 or if you may have forgotten to collect a deposit or cash a check, visit <\/span>CollierClerk.com<\/span><\/a> and choose the button that says \u201cUnclaimed Funds\u201d to search for your funds. These open balances include jury duty compensation, court fees, and vendor payments that were either received by the recipient but never cashed or were returned to the Clerk\u2019s office because the recipient was no longer at the address provided.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We are encouraging citizens with unclaimed monies to file their written claims<\/strong> to recover their money. Claimants will be asked to submit sufficient proof of identity by presenting a valid government-issued photo identification and ownership of money through receipts, billings, or other information to back up their claims. The BOCC Affidavit or Clerks Affidavit forms for unclaimed monies are available on the Clerk\u2019s website and must be completed upon request.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
