In 2002, and again in 2006, Collier County voters agreed by ballot referendum to a property tax increase of $25 per $100,000 of taxable property value, for up to 10 years, to fund the land acquisition program known as Conservation Collier. |
In 2020, a referendum question has been placed on the general election ballot asking voters to once again decide whether or not they agree to reestablish the ad valorem millage of 0.25 mills, and continue to pay an additional $25 per $100,000 of taxable property value to fund the Conservation Collier program for a period of 10 years. |
If the November 2020 referendum passes, revenues collected for Conservation Collier will be used as follows: *
