- The taxpayer objects to the Property Appraiser's value assessment of the taxpayer's
real or personal property.
- The taxpayer's application for any of the following exemptions or special use classifications is denied:
·homestead exemption
·any other tax exemption as provided by
Chapter 196, Florida Statutes or
·any special use classification as provided by
Chapter 193, Florida Statutes.

The DEADLINE for filing a petition for the 2025 VAB session with the Collier County VAB is September 12, 2025 at 5 p.m in office or 11:59 p.m., if filing online.
If you wish to file late, you must provide a good cause statement and any related documentation to explain why you are filing late. Your good cause will be considered by the VAB attorney. The VAB attorney will determine whether to accept or reject your petition. You will be notified within 5 days of the VAB attorney's decision.
We have 3 ways to file. You can file online, by mail or in person.
Petitions can be filed by mail or in person at Value Adjustment Board, 3299 Tamiami Trail East, Suite 401, Naples, FL 34112, using the Department of Revenue approved petition form(s).

There is a non-refundable filing fee of $50 for most petition types to the Value Adjustment Board. However, Transfer of Homestead Assesment (Portability) petitions are $15 per petition.
Note: a non-refundable 4% card processing fee (e.g., $2 on a $50 petition) is assessed by the processing company and applies to each petition. ALL FEES PAID ARE FINAL.

Your petition is not considered filed until the appropriate filing fee has been received by the VAB Clerk.
