A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING EXHIBIT "A" TO
RESOLUTION NO. 2013-239, THE LIST OF SPEED LIMITS ON COUNTY-
MAINTAINED ROADS, TO REFLECT SPEED LIMIT CHANGES ON
PORTIONS OF HOLLOW DRIVE, CAPRI BOULEVARD, VANDERBILT
BEACH ROAD (FROM VANDERBILT DRIVE TO GULF SHORE DRIVE),
VANDERBILT BEACH ROAD (FROM STRADA PLACE TO FONTANA
DEL SOL WAY),AND OIL WELL ROAD EAST OF DESOTO BOULEVARD.
WHEREAS,pursuant to Florida Statute, Chapter 316, Collier County Ordinance No. 91-25,
as amended, and Resolution No. 2013-239, the Board of County Commissioners ("Board") has the
authority to establish and alter speed limits by a resolution filed with the Clerk to the Board that
creates a single comprehensive codification of all speed limits on county-maintained roads; and
WHEREAS,the Board finds that there is a continuing need to enact and change speed limits
throughout the County in accordance with changing needs and circumstances, in conformity with
criteria promulgated by the State Department of Transportation; and
WHEREAS, it is the purpose of this Resolution to amend Exhibit "A" to Resolution No.
2013-239, as amended, to reflect a change of the speed limit at five separate locations as described
herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY,FLORIDA as follows:
L The Board of County Commissioners hereby restates and reauthorizes all prior-
approved speed limits on Collier County-maintained roads, which have been compiled and attached
as Exhibit"A".
2. Exhibit "A" to Resolution No. 2013-239, as amended and attached hereto, is
{ specifically amended to reflect these changes of the speed limits:
A. Reduce the existing speed limit on Hollow Drive from Santa Barbara Boulevard to
the end of the road from the existing speed limit of 30 miles per hour to 25 miles per
hour; and
B. Reduce the speed limit on Capri Boulevard from W & E Pago Pago Drive to Samar
Lane from the existing speed limit of 30 miles per hour to 25 miles per hour; and
C. Reduce the speed limit on Vanderbilt Beach Road from Vanderbilt Drive to Gulf
Shore Drive from the existing speed limit of 35 miles per hour to 30 miles per hour;
and

D. Post a reduced temporary construction speed limit from the existing 45 miles per hour
to a speed limit of 35 miles per hour on Vanderbilt Beach Road from Strada Place to
Fontana Del Sol Way (approximately 1.5 miles ) during County construction project
No. 60199; and
E. Post a reduced temporary construction speed limit of 35 miles per hour on portions of
Oil Well Road east of Desoto Boulevard.
3. This Resolution shall be filed with the Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners
consistent with the requirements to maintain a single, comprehensive codification of all speed limits
on County-maintained roads. Further changes to speed limits on County-maintained roads shall be
made by resolution with an amendment to Exhibit"A."
4. The effective date of the speed limits shall be after written notification to the Sheriff s
Office and posting of appropriate signage.
