Executive Summary
Recommendation to appoint Kerry Geroy and Sally Hawk to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board.
OBJECTIVE: To appoint Kerry Geroy and Sally Hawk to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board.
CONSIDERATIONS: This seven-member committee was created by guidelines established on November 25, 1975,
and confirmed by Ordinance No. 93-81 to advise the Board of County Commissioners on any matters concerning
acquisition, development, and programs involving parks and recreation facilities in Collier County. Membership
consists of one member from the Immokalee Community Park District, and six members from the Naples and Urban
Area Community Park District. Terms are 4 years. A list of the current membership is included in the backup.
There are two vacant seats on this Committee. The vacancies were advertised, and applications were received from the

COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: At their meeting on January 21, 2026, the Committee voted to recommend
that Kerry Geroy and Sally Hawk be appointed to the Committee, each to a four-year term expiring on December 31,
2029. A recommendation memo is included in the backup to this item.
FISCAL IMPACT: There is no fiscal impact associated with this action.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated with this action.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item is approved as to form and legality and requires majority vote for Board
approval. – CMG
RECOMMENDATION(S): That the Board adopts the Committee Recommendation and authorizes the Chair to
execute the attached resolution confirming the appointments.

COLLIER COLINTY, FLORIDA, APPOINTING Kf,RRy GEROY ANI)
SALLY HAWK TO THD PARKS AND R-ECREATION ADVISORY
BOARD.
WHEREAS, Collier County Ordinance No. 93-81 established the Parks and Recreation
Advisory Board to advise the Board of County Commissioners on matters pertaining to the
acquisition, development and programs involving County park facilities; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance 93-81, as amended, provides that this Advisory Board shall be
composed of seven members, consisting of one member from the Immokalee Cornmunity Park
District and six members lrom the Naples and Urban Area Community Park District; and
WHEREAS, there are two vacant seats on this Advisory Board; and
WHER-EAS, the Board of County Commissioners previously provided public notice
soliciting applications lrom interested parties; and
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board has provided the Board of County
Commissioners with their recommendation lbr appointment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COLINTY, FLORIDA, that KERRY GEROY and SALLY
HAWK, both representing the Naples and Urban Area Community Park District, are each hereby
appointed, to four-year terms expiring on December 31,2029.
THIS RESOLU'IION ADOPTED upon majority vote onthe 106 day of February 2026.
