Executive Summary
Recommendation to appoint three members to the Land Acquisition Advisory Committee.
OBJECTIVE: To appoint three members to the Land Acquisition Advisory Committee.
CONSIDERATIONS: The Land Acquisition Advisory Committee is comprised of 9 members and its primary
responsibility is to recommend to the Board an Active Properties Acquisition List with qualified purchase
recommendations of environmentally sensitive lands consistent with the goals of the Conservation Collier Land
Acquisition Program. Membership of the committee shall comprise broad and balanced representation, including
environmental and conservation interests, agricultural and business interests, educational interests, and general civic and
citizen interests within the County. Members shall have expertise, knowledge, or interest in ecology, conservation of
natural resources, real estate or land acquisition, land appraisal, land management, eco-tourism, or environmental
education. Terms are three years. A list of the current membership is included in the backup.
Three seats on this committee will expire on February 11, 2026. The vacancies were advertised, and the following
applications were received:

ATTENDANCE: In the past two years, Oriany Brito has had two excused absences, and John Courtright has had three
excused absences. Attendance records are included in the backup.
COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: At its meeting on January 7, 2026, the committee considered the above
applications and voted to recommend that Oriany Brito and John Courtright be reappointed to the committee, each to a
three-year term expiring on February 11, 2029. The committee also recommends that Kaylyn Glenn be appointed to the
Land Acquisition Advisory Committee, to a three-year term expiring on February 11, 2029. Recommendation emails are
included in the backup.
FISCAL IMPACT: There is no fiscal impact associated with this action.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated with this action.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item is approved as to form and legality and requires majority vote for Board

RECOMMENDATION(S): That the Board adopts the Committee Recommendation, and authorizes the Chairman to
execute the attached resolution confirming the appointments.

RESOLUTION NO. 2026 - ____
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, APPOINTING KAYLYN GLENN AND
REAPPOINTING ORIANY BRITO AND JOHN COURTRIGHT TO THE
LAND ACQUISITION ADVISORY COMMITTEE.
WHEREAS, Collier County Ordinance No. 2002-63, as amended, established the Land
Acquisition Advisory Committee (‘Committee’) to assist the Board of County Commissioners
(‘Board’) in establishing an “Active Properties Acquisition List” with qualified purchase
recommendations consistent with the goals of Conservation Collier; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 2002-63, as amended, provides that this Committee shall
consist of nine members representing the broad and balanced interests of Collier County Citizens
as set forth in the Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, there are three upcoming vacancies on this Advisory Committee; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners previously provided public notice
soliciting applications from interested parties; and
WHEREAS, the Committee has provided the Board with its recommendations for
appointment and reappointment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that KAYLYN GLENN, representing
conservation, ecology and environmental interests; ORIANY BRITO, representing civic, citizen
and real estate interests; and JOHN COURTRIGHT, representing conservation and environmental
interests, are hereby appointed to the Land Acquisition Advisory Committee, each to a three-year
term expiring on February 11, 2029.
THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED upon majority vote on the 27th day of January, 2026.
