I thi „alin9y I:Forms/County Forms/BCC Forms/Original Documents Routing Slip WWS Original 9.03.04;Revised 1.26.05;2.24.05; 11/30/12;4/22/16;9/10/21 16B 2 RESOLUTION NO. 202/_ -02 RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONEERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, TO REMOVE UNCOLLECTIBLE ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE FROM METROPOLITAN GRANTS ACTIVE ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLES, FINDING THAT DILIGENT EFFORTS HAVE BEEN MADE TO RECAPTURE THE FUNDS AND THE FUNDS ARE NOT COLLECTIBLE OR OTHERWISE REQUIRE REMOVAL FROM COUNTY FINANCIAL RECORDS. WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 2006-252, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) established a procedure to remove past due accounts from active accounts receivable where diligent efforts at collection have provide unsuccessful; and WHEREAS, this adjustment is proper and in the best interest of the county because the amounts were deemed uncollectible after multiple attempts; and WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Organization staff have made diligent efforts to collect the overpayment including calls to the customer, and sending out certified mail receipt the Financial Operations Manager has determined that the identified receivable attached to this Executive Summary are uncollectible and have complied with Board Resolution 2006-252; and WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Organization has diligently attempted, without success, to collect the overpayment totaling $109.03 that has been in accounts receivable with collection efforts for at least (3) years. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that: 1. The Board finds that the Metropolitan Planning Organization has made diligent efforts to collect the total debt amount by researching the balance and reviewing any applicable records for further information. 2. Despite diligent efforts, it is not able to collect the debts but is able to determine that these accounts are uncollectible. 16B 2 3.
