A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, APPOINTING KARL H. GENG TO THE
AIRPORT AUTHORITY ADVISORY BOARD.
WHEREAS, Collier County Ordinance No. 2010 -11 created Airport Authority Advisory
Board to assist the Board of County Commissioners with all issues affecting the Marco Island
Executive Airport, Immokalee Regional Airport, and Everglades Airpark; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 2010 -11 provides that this Advisory Board shall be composed of
seven members and one alternate member who are Collier County residents and who possess the
business ability and experience in one or more fields which may include, but are not limited to,
general business, economic development, aviation, public affairs, law, finance, accounting,
engineering, or related fields; and
WHEREAS, there is currently one vacant, unexpired term on this Advisory Board; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners previously provided public notice
soliciting applications from interested parties; and
WHEREAS, the Airport Authority Advisory Board has provided the Board of County
Commissioners with its recommendation for appointment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that KARL H. GENG, with expertise in
communications and aviation business, is hereby appointed to the Airport Authority Advisory Board
to fulfill the remainder of the unexpired term, said term to expire on August 10, 2013.
THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED after motion, second and majority vote on this the 22nd
day of May, 2012.

I strongly ttragme with me decision made yesterday by me county mrm n
not to renew the contract of the Executive()vector Chris Curry Mt Curry is a weff
qualified and capable aviation executive that has brought many knprovements to
the County's airport structure. the Advisory Board with one ex« on
commended Mr_ Curry mut expressed full confidence in him during thek last
board meeting.
It appears that there is a personal vendetta by toners against tUm
because he state them aviation rules driving on
the a& -` u of tmr , Regional Airport in a restricted area without permission
last year.
Furthermore the majority of County Commissioners are not takes the advise of
Me Advisory Board but are instead micromanaOng without a good understanding
of the issues at hand.
This makes the Advisory Board a farce.
Under these circumstances I am no longer wilky to give my time to this effort.
Commissioners,you ouOtt to think about the strategic direction n these

aviation assets to take, consider their overall econorric impact to the County, eilid
not create managemera tur moil by frequent interference management
charges.
