A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, APPOINTING DR. TODD BETHEL TO THE
COLLIER COUNTY EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES POLICY
ADVISORY BOARD.
WHEREAS, Collier County Ordinance No. 2009-01, as amended, established the Collier County
Emergency Medical Services Policy Advisory Board to assist the Board of County Commissioners
with all issues affecting prehospital emergency medical services within all of Collier County; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 2009-01, as amended, provides that the Board shall be composed of
five members representing the professions related to emergency medical services as specified in the
Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, through its adoption of Ordinance No. 2012-10, the Board of County
Commissioners revised this Board's composition so as to require a Physician Trained in Emergency
Medicine; and
WHEREAS, there is currently a vacancy on this Advisory Board in this new category; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners previously provided public notice soliciting
applications from interested parties; and
WHEREAS, the Collier County Emergency Medical Services Advisory Policy Advisory Board
has provided the Board of County Commissioners with its recommendation for appointment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that DR. TODD BETHEL, in the category
of Physician Trained in Emergency Medicine, is hereby appointed to the County Emergency Medical
Services Policy Advisory Board to fulfill the remainder of a four-year term, said term to expire on
September 25, 2015.
