A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, APPOINTING ALBERT
BATISTA AND J. WALTER CALL TO THE COLLIER COUNTY
HISPANIC AFFAIRS ADVISORY BOARD.
WHEREAS, Collier County Ordinance No. 91 -37 established the Hispanic Affairs
Advisory Board to provide periodic reports to the Board of County Commissioners that identify
and evaluate problems unique to the Hispanic community and to recommend ways to ensure
open communication between minorities and Collier County Government; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 91 -37, as amended, provides that the Advisory Board shall
consist of nine (9) members; and
WHEREAS, there are currently vacancies on this Advisory Board; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners previously provided public notice
soliciting applications from interested parties; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that appointments to the Collier
County Hispanic Affairs Advisory Board are as follows:
1. ALBERT BATISTA is hereby appointed to fulfill the remainder of an unexpired
term, said term to expire on June 25, 2013; and
2. J. WALTER CALL is hereby appointed to fulfill the remainder of an unexpired
term, said term to expire on June 25, 2015.
THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED after motion, second and majority vote on this the 13th
day of December, 2011.
