A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, APPOINTING W. JAMES FLANAGAN, III
TO THE GOLDEN GATE ESTATES LAND TRUST COMMITTEE.
WHEREAS, Collier County Ordinance No. 87 -48, as amended, established the Golden Gate
Citizens Advisory Committee, now known as the Golden Gate Estates Land Trust Committee, to
aid and assist the Board of County Commissioners in carrying out the requirements, conditions and
various provisions of the November 15, 1983 GAC /Avatar Agreement; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance No. 87 -48, as amended, the Golden Gate Estates Land
Trust Committee shall be comprised of five members with no more than three members on the
Committee concurrently who reside within the same area (Phase) of Golden Gate Estates as
described in Ordinance No. 87 -48; and
WHEREAS, there is currently a vacancy on this Committee; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners previously provided public notice
soliciting applications from interested parties; and
WHEREAS, the Golden Gate Estates Land Trust Committee has provided the Board of
County Commissioners with its recommendation for appointment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that W. JAMES FLANAGAN, III,
representing Phase I, is hereby appointed to the Golden Gate Estates Land Trust Committee for the
remainder of a four -year term, said term to expire on October 13, 2014.
THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED after motion, second and majority vote on this the 13th
day of December, 2011.

I have recently been employed by Collier County government,and as such, must tender my resignation
as a member of the GAC Land Trust Advisory Committee. In my new position as a County employee, I
have been advised that I am prohibited from serving on any advisory committees.
I thank you for allowing me the opportunity to serve my community with you,and I look forward to the
good stewardship and the good things that this Committee continues to bring to the Golden Gate
Estates area Community.
Keep up your good work and I look forward to possibly seeing you at the Max Hasse dedication.
