BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA SECTION 1. Pursuant to Article VIII, Section 6 (d) and Article VIII, Section i (f) of the Constitution of the State of Florida of 1968, and H. B. 235 of the 1969 Legislature, Section 6 of Chapter 65-1413, Special Laws of Florida, is amended to read: SECTION 6. Upon receipt of such estimate and certificate of posting, the said board of county commissioners may amend, modify, increase or reduce any or 8].1 items of expenditure in the proposed estimate ox' budget, and, as amended, modified, increased, or reduced, shall approve said budget or estimate, giving written notice of their action to the Fire Control District Board specifying in such notice the specific items so amended, modified, increased or reduced. At the time of making and fixing the rate of annual taxation for county pur- poses, the B'oard of County Commissioners shall f/x and cause to be levied on a11 property within said district, both real and personal and subject to taxation, a millage sufficient to meet the requirements of the budget o: estimate, provided, however, the total millage shall not exceed one (1) mill nor the amount :ealized,.thetef~om shall not exceed twenty thousand dollars ($20,000.00), whichever is the lower, in any one fiscal yea:. SECTION 2. This ~:dinance shall take effect upon receipt by the Board of County Commissioners of Collier County o£ o££icial acknowledgment from the office of the Secretary of State that ic has been filed.
