AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE OPERA-
TION OF MOTOR VEHICLES ON CERTAIN
BEACHES OF COLLIER COUNTY; DEFINING
TERMS; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER
COUNTY, FLORIDA:
Section l. From and after the effective date of this
Ordinance it shall not be lawful for anyone to operate or drive
a motor vehicle on the beach within Collier County, Florida,
described as,
Ail that portion of the beach of Collier
County lying between the centerline ex-
tended westward of State Road S-846 and
the northerly risht-of-way line extended
westward of State Road S-862.
Section 2. As used herein "beach" means that area of sand
between the waters of the Gulf of Mexico and the natural upland
vegetation or seawall.'
Section 3. As used herein "motor vehicle" means any de-
vice equipped for locomotion with two or more wheels and driven'
by means o£ a self contained power unit.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect at the time
provided by law.
