Ordinance 70-03i % "' " ' ORDZNANC~. 70-3 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 5 OF CHAPTER 67-1244, SPECIAL LAWS OF FLORIDA, AMENDING THE TIME OF IMPOUNDMENT OF ABANDONED VE~I' CLES, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ENACTED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. Section 5 of Chapter 67-1244, Special Laws of Florida, is amended to read as follows: SECTION 5. The sheriff of Collier county or the board of county commissioners of Collier county, through its zoning department or other authorized representative, is authorized to remove or have removed any vehicle lef~ at any place in Collier county, outside of municipalities, which reasonably appears to be in violation of this act or lost, stolen or un- claimed. Such vehicle shall be impounded for a period of thirty (30) days in a place to be designated by the board of county commissioners of Collier county and if such vehicle shall not be reclaimed by the owner, lienor or other interested person within said thirty (30) day period, the title to such vehicle shall become absolutely vested in Collier county. Within thirty (30) days after removal of such vehicle from said property, the board of county commissioners shall cause a notice to be published one time in a newspaper of general circulation in Collier county, directed to all whom it may concern, setting forth the removal of such vehicle to the owner and lienholders if their names and addresses can reasonably be ascertained,' but failur~ to give such written notice shall no= invalidate the title of Collier county. After said thirty (30) day period, the board of county commissioners of Collier county ma7 dispose of such vehicle, etcher by Junking the same or by sale or otherwise disposing of it. SECTION 2.
