AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 4 OF ORDINANC~
NUMBER 72-1 OF THE CODE OF COLLIER COUNTY,
FLORIDA, BY PROVIDING AN ALTERNATIVE METHOD~
OF FINANCING THE OPERATION OF LIGHTING DIS--~
DERIVED, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
SECTION ONEx
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER
COUNTY, FLORIDA, that Section 4 of Ordinance 72-1 of Collier
County, Florida, be and is hereby amended to read as follows:
"SECTION 4. For the purpose of carrying into effect this
Ordinance, the Board of County Commissioners shall annually, at
the time required by general budgetary law, make an itemized es-
timate of the amount of money required to carry out the business
of the Lighting District for the next fiscal year, which shall be
from October 1 to and including September 30 following. The es-
timate shall have for what purpose the monies are required and the
amount necessary to be raised by taxation within the District.
At the time and place for fixin~the annual rate of taxation for
County purposes, the Board shall fix and cause to be levied on
all ~roperty within the District subject to taxation a levy suf-
ficient to meet the requirements of the Lighting District based
upon the benefits derived."
SECTION TWO:
This Ordinance shall become effective upon becoming law.
