AN ORDINANCE ASSESSING ONE (1) DOLLAR, FOR
T}{E SHERIFF ' S DEPARTMENT EDUCATION AND
TRAINI~IG FUND, TO BE PAID BY EACH DEFENDANT
CONVICTED OF VIOLATING A PENAL STATUTE OR
LOCAL ORDINANCE EXCLUDING A VEHICLE PARKING
OR COUNTY ORDINANCE OR REGULATION ZONING
OFFENSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER
COUNTY, FLORIDA TIIAT:
SECTION ONE:
1. The Circuit and County Courts of Collier County, Florida
shall assess an additional One Dollar ($1.00), as a court cost,
against every person convicted for violation of a State penal or
criminal statute or convicted fo~ violation of a county ordinance
except any State law or county o~dina'nce relating to the parking
of vehicles or county zoning regulation or ordinance.
2. Such funds shall be Placed in the education and training
fund of the Collier County Sheriff's Department for use in accor-
dance with Sections 23.091 and 23.105 of the Florida'Statutes for
law enforcement education expenditures.
SECTION TWO: Effective Date.
This Ordinance shall become effective upon becoming law.
