AN ORDINANCE REPEALING SPECIAL ACTS C~APTER 61-2030 $1,
WHICH EMPOWERS TIlE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO
~91KE DIRECT PURCHASES NOT TO EXCEED ONE THOUSAND
DOLLARS ($1,000.00) WITHOUT BIDS.
WHEREAS, general law empowers the Board of County Commissioners
of Collier County, Florida to make direct purchases in accordance
with law enacted after 1961.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of County Commissioners
of Collier County, Florida~
SECTION ONE:
Special Act 61-2030 el, which reads~
"The Board of County Commissioners and the
Board of Public Instruction of Collier Co-
unty is hereby authorized and empowered to
make direct purchases in amounts not ex- /
ceeding one thousand dollars ($1,000.00)
each without first soliciting bids by
advertisement or otherwise." {~
be and is hereby repealed. ~
SECTION TWO:
Construction
The provisions of this Ordinance shall be liberally construed
to effectively carry out its purposes in the interest of the public
health, safety, welfare and convenience.
Effective Date
This ordinance shall take effect upon receipt of n ce a
