COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA:
SECTION ONE: ~..reation~ Purpose, Authority.
1. The North Naples Municipal Services Taxing District
is hereby created, with boundaries described as those same
boundaries as comprise the North Naples Fire Control District
as created by Chapter 61-2032, Special Acts, Laws of Florida,
1961 and as said boundaries have been subsequently amended
by statute.
2. The taxing unit hereby created and established is
for the purpose of providing fire protection as provided
by Florida Statutes Section 125.01(q).
3. To carry out the purpose of this Ordinance, said
taxing unit shall have the authority to levy ad valorem
taxes and to exercise those powers as enumerated and implied
by general law.
SECTION TWO: Governing Board! Powers and Dutips.
The governing Board of the Taxing District shall be the
Board of County Commissioners of Collier County, Florida,
with the power and duty to conduct the affairs of the Taxing
District as prescribed by Florida Statutes.
SECTION THREE:
1. This Ordinance shall be liberally construed t~'"-- ~
effectuate its public purpose. ~
2. If any portion, phrase or word of this Ordinan~is "' ~ "'
held invalid or unconstitutional, the remaining parts ~.11 ~
not be affected.~
SECTION FOUR: Emergency.
Be it declared that an emergency exists and the immediate
enactment of this Ordinance is necessary, therefore, notice
requirements are waived and this Ordinance shall take effect
immediate upon its placement in the United States mail to the
Secretary of State.
SECTION FIVE
This Ordinance shall become null and void and the District
created hereby shall be abolished as of December. 31, 1977.
ENACTED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY CO~9~ISSIONERS OF COLLIER
COUNTY, FLORIDA, this ~ day of September, 1976 upon a
declaration and finding that an emergency exists and upon
enactment by an affirmative vote of at least 4/5 of the
