AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 75-57,
PROVIDING TEMPORARY CERTIFICATES OF
COMPETENCY TO THOSE PERSONS OR FIRMS
WHO HAVE BEEN ERRONEOUSLY ISSUED
CERTIFICATES OF COMPETENCY, PROVIDING
FOR CONFLICT, SEVERANCE, EMERGENCY,
PENALTY AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARI~OF COUF~
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA that:~ ~ ?~
SECTION ONE: o
Ordinance 75-57 is hereby amended by add.t~g;t~e fo-~ow~
ing Section: ~ c= ~. r~
SECTION THREE - A: Temporary Certificate~ of ~
CompetencY":"
Any person or firm who is or has been erroneously
..... issued_a_.ce=tificate-o£--¢ompetency under this Ordinance
shall be hereafter entitled to one temporary certificate
of competency. The temporary certificate issued shall
be valid for a period not to exceed four months from
the date of issue. If the temporary certificate holder
thereafter fully complies with any competency ordinance
in effect during the temporary period of licensing, he
shall be entitled to be granted a permanent certificate
of competency which shall be periodically renew~=~e. Z "~
No more than one temporary certificate shall be w~
authorized per person or firm under this Section~ ~ ~
SECTION TWO: Conflict ~
Should this Ordinance conflict with any other la~ the
more restrictive shall apply. If any part of this Ordinance
conflicts with any other part, it shall be severed and the
remainder shall have full force and effect and be liberally
construed.
SECTION THREE: Severabilit~
If any section, subsection, clause, sentence or phrase
of this Ordinance is for any reason held unconst~tutional or

invalid the invalidity thereof shall not affect the valid-
icy of any remaining portions of this Ordinance
SECTION FOUR: Penalty
Any person, firm, corporation association §overn-
mental agency, department or authority violating any pro-
vision of this Ordinance, or the conditions of a permit
issued hereunder, shall be punished as provided by law,
SECTION FIVE: Emergency and Effective Date
The Board of County Commissioners hereby waives notice
requirements by a 4/Sths vote declaring that an emergency
exists necessitating the immediate enactment of this
Ordinance. The Clerk of the Board shall file a certified
copy of this Ordinance with the Department of State as soon
after its enactment as is practicable by registered, special
delivery mail. This Ordinance shall become effective upon
being accepted by :he postal authority for delivery by
registered mail to the Department of State.
