SECTION ONE: Pursuant to Chapter 125 of the Florida Statutes,
the Pi~e Woods Sub~ivision Street Lighting Municipal Service
Taxing District is hereby created for the purpose of providing
lighting to the residents of the area hereinafter described~
The South Half of the Southeast Quarter of Section 14,
Township 49 South, Range 25 East, Collier County, Florida
Less the East 100 feet thereof.
S~CTION TW0~ The governing body of the D~strict shall b~ ex-~a
officio the Board of County Commissioners of Collier Count, F
SECTION THREE= The District is formed for the purpose of ~ovi~g~
street lighting in the above described subdivision and tomthat~nd
shall possess all the powers to do all things reasonably necessary
to provide such services, including ownership or rental of property,
poles, wires, c~nduits, lights, meters, and the power to maintain
the same and to enter into contracts for providing the same and the
electric current to operate any lighting system therein £nstalled.
SECTION FOUR= For the purpose of carrying into effect this Ordinance~
the Board of County Commissioners shall annually, at the time required
by general budgetary law, make an itemized estimate of the amount of
money.required to carry out the business of the District for the next
fiscal year, which shall be from October 1 to and including September
30 following. The. estimate shall have f~r what purpose the monies
are required and the amount necessary to be raise~ by taxation within
the District. At the time anC place for fixing the annual rate of
taxation for county purposes, the Board shall fix and cause to be
levled on all property within the District subject to taxation a
millage sufficient to meet the requirements of the estimate~ provided,
however, the total millage shall not exceed two (2) mills.
SECTION FIVEI Taxes herein provided for shall be assesse~ and
collected in the same manner an~ form as provlde~ for the assessment

and collection of general county taxes and subject to the same fees
for assessing and collecting as general county taxes.
S~CTION SIX= This Ordinance shall be liberally construed to
effectuate its public purpose.
If any portion, phrase or word of this Ordinance ~e held
invalid or unconstitutional, the remaining parts shall not be
affected.
SECTION SEVEN= Effective date of this Ordinance shall become
effective as provided by Law.
