AN ORDINA~NCE AMENDING COLLIER COUNTY ORDINANCE 76-68,
THE "COLLIER COUNTY BUILDING CODE", BY ADOPTINC THE
1977 AND 1978 REVISIONS, EXCLUDING APPENDIX "J", TO
THE 1976 EDITION OF THE STANDARD BUILDING CODE; PRO-
~IDING FOR CONFLICT, SEVERABILITY AND AN EFFEGTIVE
DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA:
SECTION ONE:
Section One of the Collier County Ordinance 76-68 is hereby
repealed and the following provision is hereby adopted and is to
be substituted in its place:
The "Standard Building Code 1976 Edition" including Appendixes
A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I and M together with the "1977 and 1978
Revisions to the 1976 Edition" of the Standard Building Code
excluding Appendix "J", as published by the Stander4 Building
Code Cq~gress International, Inc. Birmingham, Alabama and as
. amended here~ ~ hereby adopted by reference as the "Collier
Coup. y~utld~Cbde" to protect the heal~h, welfare, safety,
co=~?n~nteras~d convenience of the citizens, v~sitors and
reside~gs of ~q-~k~er County. Copies of said Standard Building
Code, ~gether w~h the 1977 and 1978 revisions thereto are on
file in th% office of the Building Department of Collier County,
Florida. o
SECTION TWO: SEVERANCE AND CONFLICT ~ ~ -- -
It is declared to be the intent of the Board of
,Commissioners that if any section, subsection, sentenc~ cla~e,~
phrase or provision of this Ordinance is held invalid or unconsti-
tutional, such invalidity or unconstitutionality shall not be so
construed as to render invalid or unconstitutional ~he rema'lning
provisions of this Ordinance.
In the event this Ordnance conflicts with any other appli-
cable law, the more restrictive~Shall apply.
SECTION THREE: EFFECTIVE DATE.
This Ordinance shall be effective upon .acknowledgement
from the Secretary of State that the Ordinance has been duly filed.
