Ordinance 78-06 ORDINANCE NO. 78-6 AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD Q~ ~ COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNt, ~ ~ FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR THE SUSPENSION%_~ ~ ~ MARCH 6, 1978, OF FEES CHARGED FOR ~ ~ ~ ~ PERMITS REQUIRED BY ORDINANCE 76-49 F~ ~ ~ PARKING IN CERTAIN RESTRICTED AREAS. ~ ~ -~ ~ BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY C~SSION~S OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that; ~ SECTION ONE: WHEREAS, it has become traditional on Marco Island to hold an annual Memorial Golf Tournament in remembrance of Tony Lema, late professional representative of the Marco Island Country Club, for the sole purpose of raising funds for charitable uses, and ~EREAS, normal parking facilities on the Island presently permitted by Ordinance 76-49 will not be sufficient to accommodate all visitors who will be in attendance at the forthcoming Twelth Annual Tony Lema Memorial Tournament to be held this coming March 6, 1978. It is therefore found to be in the public interest to make the following relaxation of the terms of Ordinance 76-49 in order that the public may be able to attend this tournament as it has attended past tournaments. SECTION %~0: The requ!rement as provided in Ordinance 7~ o~ar~ fee for parking in any area of Marco Island under Se~ Thre~ Subsection 13, "upon any drainage swale" is hereby d~are~a~] shall therefore be suspended for a twelve hour perio~omm~c~m~ at 7:00 a.m. on March 6, 1978, and concluding at 7:00 p.m. on March 6, 1978. SECTION THREE: The Board of County Commissioners hereby waives notice requirements by a four-fifths vote declaring that an emergency exists necessitating the immediate enactment of this Ordinance. The Clerk of the Board shall file a certified copy of this Ordinance with the Department of State as soon after its 008 '08 enactment as is practicable by registered, special delivery mail. This Ordinance shall become effective upon being accepted by the postal authority for delivery by registered mail to the Department of State.
