AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AMENDING COLLIER COUNTY
ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 76-30, THE COMPREHENSIVE
ZONING REGULATIONS FOR THE UNINCORPORATED AREA
OF THE COASTAL AREA PLANNING DISTRICT BY AMEND-
lNG SECTION 15 OF ORDINANCE NO. 76-30; ALLOWING
ADDITIONS AND IMPROVEMENTS TO NON-CONFORMING
USES IN A-AGRICULTURAL ZONING DISTRICT; BY
ADDING A NEW PARAGRAPH 13 TO SECTION 15;
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, individuals residing in and using non-conforming
mobile homes as residences in the A-Agricultural Zoning District
cannot engage in major or substantial improvements, alterations
or repairs or additions to said mobile homes, which constitutes'
a public emergency threatening the health, welfare and safety ''
of the citizens of Collier County; and
WHEREAS, in order to assure the well Being and to protect
the health, welfare, life and property of such individuals and
to encourage them to bring said structures up to safe standards;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMIS-
SIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA that:
Section 1. Zoning Ordinance No. 76-30 is hereby amended as
follows:
Amend Section 15, of Ordinance No. 76-30 By adding a new
paragraph 13, said paragraph reading as follows:
"13. Improvements or additions to non-conforming single
family mobile homes housing conforming uses, in the
A-Agricultural Districts only, shall be permitted if
the addition or improvement complies fully with setback
and other applicable regulations."
Section 2. Be it declared that an emergency exists and the
immediate enactment of this Ordinance is necessary, th~efor
notice requirements are waived and this Ordinance shal~take
effect immediately upon its placement in the United St~es
to the Secretary of State.
Section 3. The Clerk of this Board is hereby directed to cause
this Ordinance to be published within ten (10) days of this
effective date in the daily newspaper of general circulation.
