RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE COLLIER COUNTY
TOURIST DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL TO EXPEND UP
TO FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($5,000) FOR
EXPENSES INCURRED IN FACT-FINDING AND STUDY-
ING THE APPROPRIA~mSS OF THE TOURIST
DEVELOPMENT TAX IN COLLIER COt1N'1'Y AND IN
PROMOTING LEGISLATIVE CHANGES TO SECTION
125.0104, FLORIDA STATUTES, AND AUTHORI-
ZING THE CHAIRMAN AND THE VICE CHAIRMAN
OF THE COLLIER COUNTY TOURIST DEVELOPMENT
COUNCIL TO APPROVE SAID EXPENDITURES IN
ADVANCE OR RETROACTIVELY, BY PROVIDING
APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTATION TO THE COLLIER
COUNTY FISCAL OFFICER.
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the citizens of
Collier County, Florida, to study the appropriateness of levying
the Collier County Tourist Development tax, and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the citizens of
Collier County, for the Tourist Development Council to study and
comment on opposed changes to Section 125.0104, Florida Statutes,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIO~ERS'6F COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Chairman and
Vice Chairman of the Tourist Development Council are authorized
to approve expenditures in the aggregate of up to Five Thousand
Dollars ($5,000) for fact-finding concerning the appropriateness
of the levy of the Collier County Tourist Development Tax and for
studying and commenting on proposed changes to Section 125.0104,
Florida Statutes. The Chairman and the Vice Chairman may,
jointly, approve said expenditures in advance by providinq
appropriate documentation to the Collier County Fiscal Officer.
In the event that costs are incurred for the above r'lrroses, the
Chairman and Vice Chairman may, additionally, approve
reimbursement for said expenses incurred by providinq appropriate
documentation to the Collier County Fiscal Officer.
