RESOLUTION NO. 2010 - 246
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA,
APPOINTING DANIEL ROSARIO AND LIEUTENANT
DREW LEE TO THE IMMOKALEE ENTERPRISE ZONE
DEVELOPMENT AGENCY.
WHEREAS, Collier County Ordinance No. 95-22 created the Immokalee Enterprise
Zone Development Agency to encourage the principles of economic opportunity and job
creation, sustainable community development, community-based partnerships, and a strategic
vision for change and effective local fiscal and regulatory incentives; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 95-22, as subsequently amended, provides that this Agency
shall consist of not fewer than eight (8) or more than thirteen (13) members and shall include at
least one representative from specified organizations; and
WHEREAS, there are currently two vacant, unexpired terms on this Agency; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners previously provided public notice
soliciting applications from interested parties; and
WHEREAS, the Immokalee Enterprise Zone Development Agency has provided the
Board of County Commissioners with its recommendations for appointment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL VED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that:
(1) DANIEL ROSARIO, a local business representative, is hereby appointed the
Immokalee Enterprise Zone Development Agency to fulfill the remainder of an
unexpired term plus an additional four-year term, said term to expire on April 4, 2015;
and
(2) LIEUTENANT DREW LEE, a law enforcement agency representative, is hereby
appointed the Immokalee Enterprise Zone Development Agency to fulfill the remainder
of the unexpired term, said term to expire on April 4, 2014.
THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED after motion, second and majority vote on this the
14th day of December, 2010.

Dear County Commissioners:
Please accept my resignation from the board of Immokalee CRA and Immokalee EDZA
organization,effective immediately.
Although I fully understand the reasons behind the new policies adopted by the executive
board,I find them unsatisfactory, and in good conscience I must resign my position. I
also wanted to voice my concerns how this Executive Board is handling this issue and
some of the hurtful comments including accusations of a community up in arms. There
may be a handful of people in Immokalee that may not like Penny and what she has
provided to the community but these are the same people who are running most of the
eye sore residential areas that Penny,the CRA and other agencies have been trying to
clean up for years which includes the Immokalee Master Plan. Let me state,however,
that I hold no personal animosity towards all the members of the board just a certain few
and you know who you are.
This organization has had a significant and positive impact on the environmental policies
of our county and the community of Immokalee. I continue to hold the highest regard for
the organization's goals.
