Said UniC shall hava the authority to levy ad valorem taxes as prescribed by law not to exceed one-quarter (1/4) mill in any one fiscal year. SECTIO[I TWO~ CoverninE Boardt Powers and Duties. The governing'board of the Unit shall be ~he Board off County Commissioners of Collier County, Florida with the power and duty to conduct the afffairs off the Unit as prescribed by Florida Statutes. SECTION THP~EE: Advisory Committee, Duties, Responsibilities The Board of County Commissioners shall by resolution designate an Advisory Committee composed of res£dents from within the Unit with advisory authority in the business affairs o£ the Unit and such other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Board o£ Covernors to the Unit. SECTION FOUR: For the purpose off carrying into effect this Ordinance, the Board of County Conun[ssioners shall annually, at the time required by general law, make an itemized estimate of the amount o~ money required to carry ouc the business of the Unit flor the next fiscal year, which shall be ~rom October 1 to and includ[n~ September 30 follo~in§. The estimate shall have ~or what purpose the monies are required and the amount necessary to be raised by taxation within the Unit. At the time and place ~or ffixin~ the annual rate of taxation flor county purposes, the Board shall fix and cause to be levied on all property within the Unit subject ~o taxation a millage sufficient to meet the requirements of ~he estimate; provided, however, the to,al millage shall not exceed one-quarter (1/4) m£11. SECTION FIVE: Taxes herein provided ~or shall be assessed and collected in the same manner and £orm as provided £or the assessment and collection of ~eneral county taxes and subject to the same fees for assessing and collectin~ as genera! county ~axes, SECTION SIX~ 1. SECTION SEVEN: Effective date. This Ordinance shall not become effective until after adoption, filinE with the Secretary of State, and upon receipt of official acknowledgment from the Secretary of State of the certification by the Board of County Conunissioners of Collier County and its Clerk that this Ordinance was approved.
