Resolution 1992-238 RBSOLUTION HO. 92-~ A RBSOLUTION APPO:Ul'rING MEKBBRS TO THE TOURIST DB'7ELOPMENT COUNCIL APRIL 21, 1992 WHEREAS, Collier county Ord:lnance No. 92-18 created the Tourist Development Council and provides,that the Council shall be composed of nine (9) members, pursuant to Section 125.0104, Florida Statutes; and WHEREAS, Collier County Ordinance No. 92-18 provides that the Tourist Development Council shall. be composed of the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioner!1 or any other member of the Board of County Commissioners designatEld by the Chairman, two (2) members shall be elected municipal officials with at least one (1) of the two (2) members being from the most populous municipality in the County, three (3) membern shall be owners or operators of motels, hotels, recreational vehicle parks, or other tourist accommodations in Collier County subject to any tourist development tax and thrae (3) members shall be persons who are involved in the tourist industry and who have demonstrated an interest in tourist development but are not owners or operators of motels, hotels, recreational vehicle parks or other tourist accommodations in Collier County; and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners previously provided public notice soliciting applications from interested parties. AOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the following members are hereby appointed to the Tourist Development Council: Michael J. Volpe, Chairman of the Board of County commissioners Robert Robinson, Everglades City Councilman Paul William Muenser, Mayor of the City of Naples Liana K. Buysse, Owner - Mondi & Bruestle Donald J. York, President of Island Bank of Collier County Kim Patrick Kobza, Attorney - Treiser, Kobza, Leigh & Hagaman Kevin K. Durkin, General Manager - Golden Gate Quality Inn 1 ----~--~.". N'RIL 21, 1992 Bud Davis, General Manager - Marco Island Resort & Golf Club Charles Popper, Managing Director - The Registry Resort The initial terms of office of the Tourist Development Council members shall be decided by lot and the Board of County commissioners shall approve the initial ~erms of office by separate Resolution as it deems appropriate. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that Michael J. Volpe is hereby designated aR Chairman of the Tourist Development Council.
