BE IT ORDAINED BY TIlE BOARD OF COUNTY COI~MiSSIONERS OF COLLIER
COUNTY, FLORIDA:
S~CTION ONE: Pursuant to Chapter 125 of the Florida Statutes, The Lakewood
Units 1 & 2 Street Lighting Municipal Service Taxing Unit is hereby
created for the purpose of providing street lighting to the residents of
t~e area hereinafter described:
eom,once at the northeast corner of Section 13, Township 60 South,
Range 25 East, Collier County, Florida, thence S 0°42'28" E 643.41
feet, to the northeast corner of Block "A", of the plat thereof
Lakewood Unit No. Two as recorded in Plat Book 12, Page 22, of the
? Public Records of Collier County. Florida and the POINT OF BEGINNING
of the parcel of land hereinafter described, then continuing along the
easterly boundary of aforesaid plat S 0°42'28" E 2,016.21 feet, thence
S 1o32'28'' E 1,337.84 feet, thence leaving the easterly boundary of
aforesaid plat, S 50o56'29" W 308.56 feet, thence N 39o03'31" W 932.98
feet to the termination of Lakewood Unit No. Two and the southeasterly
corner of Block "B" of the Plat thereof Lakewood Unit No. One as recorded
in Plat Book 12, Pages 7-9 inclusive of the Public Records of Collier

feet to the Point of Curvature of a curve to the rtght, concave to
the southeast having a central angle of 90°00'00'' and a radius of
~5.00 feet, thence leaving said easterly right-of-way and along the
arc of said curve 39.27 feet to the Point of Tangency, thence N 41°
48'27" E 60.00 feet, thence S 48°11'33" E 118.14 feet, thence N 8go17'
32" E 297.32 to the Puint of Beginning.
SECTION TWO: The governing body of the Unit shall be ex-officio the
Board of County Commissioners of Collier County, Florida.
SECTION THREE: The Unit is formed for the purpose of providing street
lighting in the above described subdivision and to that end shall possess
all the powers to do all things reasonably necessary to provide such
services, including ownership or rental of property, poles, wires,
conduits, lights, meters, and the power to maintain the same and to
enter into contracts for Qroviding the same and the electric current to
operate any lighting system therein Installed.
SECTION F~IR: ~or the purpose of carrying into effect this Ordinance,
the Ooard of ~ounty Coe~ntsstoners shall annually, at the time required
by general budgetary law, make an ttemtzed esttmate o¢ tho amount of
money requtred to carry out the bustness of the Unit for the,~ext
ftscal year, whtch shall be from October 1 to and Including 5~t~'eber 30'
following. The estimate shall have for what purpose the montes~e
required and the amount necessary to be raised by taxation wtthin:ithe
Untt. At the ttme and place for fixing the annual rate of taxatt.~n for
county purposes, the Board shall fix and cause to be levied 6~ all
property.within the Unit subject to taxation a mtllage sufficient to
meet the requirements of the estimate; provided, however, the total
mtllage shall not exceed tho mlllage authorized by law for municipal
service taxing or benefit units.
SECTION FIVE: Taxes herein provided for shall be assessed and collected
in the same manner and form as provided for the assessment and collection
of general county taxes and subject to the same fees for assessing and
collecting as general county taxes.
SECTION SIX: This Ordinance shall be liberally construed to effectuate
its public purpose.
If any portion, phrase or word of this Ordinance is held lnvaltd or
unconstitutional, the remaining parts shall not be affected.
SECTION SEVEN: Effective date of this Ordinance shall become effective
as provided by law.
