hereby created for the purpose of providing street lighting to th~
~$tdent5 of ~he area hereinafter described=
Beginning at the northwest corner of Section 18, Townshtp 50
South, Range 26 East, Collier County, Florida; thence along
the north line of said Section 18, North 89o55'41" East 696.04
feet; thence south 0°42'28'' east 2531.5g feet; thence north
89°49'35" west 696.08 feet to the west line of said Section
18; thence along the west line of said Section 18 and along~
the east line of Lakewood Unit No. 2 according to the plat~
thereof as recorded in Plat Book 12, Paae 22, Records of
the Clerk of the Circuit Court, north 0642'28" west 1885.1(~ ~'~ ---..
feet to the northwest corner of undivided Block "A", of saf~
lat of Lakewood Unit No. 2; thence continuing along the w~t
ine of said Section 18 and along the east line of Lakewoo~

Beginning. Being a part of the northwest quarter of Section
18, Township 50 South, Range 26 East, Collier County, Florida.
SECTION TWO: The governing body of the Unit shall be ex-officio the
Board of County Commissioners of Collier County, Florida.
SECTION THREE: The Unit is formed for the purpose of providing street~
lighting in the above described subdivision and to that end shall possess
all the powers to do all things reasonably necessary to provide such
services, including ownership or rental of property, poles, wires,
conduits, lights, meters, and the power to maintain the same and to
enter into contracts for providing the same and the electric current to
operate any lighting system therein installed.
SECTION FOUR: For the purpose of carrying into effect this Ordinance,
the Board of County Commissioners shall annually, at the time required
by general budgetary law, make an itemized estimate of the amount of
money required to carry out the business of the Unit for the next
fiscal year, which shall be frOm October 1 to and including September 30
following. The estimate shall have for what purpose the monies are
required and the amount necessary to be raised by taxation within the
Unit. At the time and place for fixing the annual rate of taxation for

county purposes, the Board shall fix and cause to be levied on all
property withtn the Unit subject to taxation a millage s~fftCte~t

SECTION FIVE: Taxes herein provided for shall be assessed'and collected
in the same manner and form as provided for t~e assessment and collection
of general county taxes and subject to the same fees for assessing and
collecting as general county taxes.
SECTION SIX: This Ordinance shall be liberally construed to effectuate
its public purpose,
If any portion, phrase or word of this Ordinance is held invalid or
unconstitutional, the remaining parts shall not be affected.
SECTION SEVEN: Effective date of this Ordinance shall become effective
as provided by law.
