AN ORDINANCE AMENDING 77-18, TIlE PELICAN flAY PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT
DOC~IENT, TO PROVIDE FIlE I)[F[tlITION OF A RECREATIONAL CLUB UNDER SECTION Il,
TO INCLUDE RECREATIONAL CLIJRS AS A PRINCIPAL USE REQUIRING SITE PLAN APPROVAL
UNDER SECTION XI, AND TO PROVIDE AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WIIEREAS, Coral Ridge-Collier Properties, Inc., Petitioner, has petitioned the
Board of County Commissioners of Collier County to Amend Ordinance 77-18; and
WHEREAS, the proposed amendment is in the interest of textual clarity for
present and future interpretation; and
WHEREAS, the proposed amendment does not affect the General Plan of
Development of*Pelican Bay.
LOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of County Commissioners of Collier
County, Florida:
SECTION ONE:
Section 2.15 is hereby amended to read as follows:
2.15 DEFINITIONS
', For the purposes of this Planned Unit Development Document:
il) "~ecreational Club"
means an association established to
specifically provide for the conduct of leisure activities,
sports activities, hobbies, or games, as well as related
activities including but not limited to food service, alcoholic
and non-alcoholic beverage sales, lockerroom and shower
facilities, workshops, and meeting facilities which further the
enjoyment, entertainment, relaxation, and comfort of thos6
persons which the club is intended to serve.
All other definitions shall be as contained in the Zoning Ordinance
of Collier County. ~
SECTION TWO: m ~
Section 11.02 A., subsection 7, is hereby amended to read as foll.c~s: ~,a ~

SECTION THREE: ~-, .-~ ~
This ordinance shall become effective upon receipt and notice that it has been
filed with the Secretary of State.
