AN ORDINANCE CREATING TIlE CRESCENT LAKE ESTATES STREET
LIGIITING HUNICII'AL SERVICE TAXING UNIT; PROVIDING TIlE BOUNDARIES
OF TIlE UNIT; DESIGNATING TIlE GOVERNING BODY OF TIlE UNIT;
AUTIIORIZING A TAX I. EVY AS PROVIDED llY LAW; PROVIDING FOR
CONSTRUCTION AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT ORDAINED BY TIlE BOARD OF COUNTY CO~IISSIONERS OF COLLIER
COUNTY, FLORIDA:
SECTION ONE: Pursuant to Chapter 125 of the Florida Statutes, The Crescent
Lake Estates Street Lighting Municipal Service Taxing Unit is hereby
created for the purpose of providing street lighting to the .residents
the area hereinafter described: '~ -
The Southwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section ~,
Township 48 South, Range 25 East, Collier County, Florida;'-
Except therefrom the West 100 feet;
Said Land also described as follows:
Commencing at the Southwest Corner of Section 25, Townshipij
48 South, Range 25 East, Collier County, Florida;
Thence along the south line of said Section 25, South 89°-03'-36''-
east lO0.O1 feet to the east line of the west lO0.O0 feet of the
Southwest Quarter of said Section 25 and the Point of Beginning of
the land to be platted;
Thence along the east line of the west lO0.O0 feet of the Southwest
Quarter of said Section 25, North 0°-00°-30" West 1329.64 feet;
Thence along the north line of the S~uthwest Quarter of the Southwest
Quarter of said Section 25, south 89v-06'-02'' east 1234.31 feet;
Thence along the east line of the Southwest Quarter of the Southwest
Quarter of said Section 25, South 0°-08'-12'' East 1330.57 feet;
Thence along the south line of said Section 25, north 89°-03'-36"
west 1237.32 feet to the Point of Beginning;
Being a part of the Southwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of
Section 25, Township 48 South, Range 25 East, Collier County, Florlda;
Containing 37.73 acres more or less.
SECTION TWO: The governing body of the Unit shall be ex-officio the
Board of County Conmissioners of Collier County, Florida.
SECTION TIIREE: The Unit is famed for the purpose of provtdin~ street
lighting in the above described subdivision and to that end shall possess
all the powers to do all things reasonably necessary to provide such
services, including ownership or rental of property, poles, wires,
conduits, lights, meters, and the power to maintain the same and tau,

SECTION FOUR: For the purpose of carrying into effect this Ordinance,, --~
the Board of County Commissioners shall annually, at the time requtt~d
by general budgetary law, make an itemized estimate of the amount of
money required to carry out the business of the Unit for the next
fiscal year, which shall be from October 1 to and including September 30
following. The estimate shall have for what purpose the monies are

required and the amount necessary to be raised by taxation within the
Unit. At tho time and place for fixing tile annual rate of taxation for
county purposes, the Board shall fix and cause to be levied O? all

meet the requirements of the estimate; provided, however,.thli'
millage shall not exceed the millage authorized by law for munt'ctpal
service taxing or benefit units. . S
SECTION FIVE:
Taxes herein provided for shall be assessed al~d :=

in the same manner and form as provided for the assessment and collection
of general county taxes and subject to the same fees for assessing and
collecting as general county taxes.
SECTION SIX: This Ordinance shall be liberally construed to effectuate
its public purpose.
If any portion, phrase or word of this Ordinance is held invalid or
unconstitutional, the remaining parts shall not be affected.
SECTION SEVEN: Effective date of this Ordinance shall become effective
as provided by law.
