Ordinance 83-54ORDINANCE NO. 83- 5& AN ORDINANCE ENACTING AND ESTABLISHING A COMPRE- HENSIVE PLAN FOR COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA PURSUANT ~O THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING ~CT OF 1975 AS AMENDED AND WHICH CONTAINS THE ~OLLOWING ELEMENTS: THE FUTURE LAt;D USE ELEMENT; THE TRANSPORTATION ELEMENT; THE SOLID WASTE ELEMENT; THE NATURAL RESOURCES ELEMENT; THE PARKS, RECREATION AND OPEN SPACE ELEMENT; THE HOUSING ELEMENT; THE INTERGOVERNMENTAL COORDINA- TION ELEMENT; THE ELECTRIC UTILITY ELEMENT; THE SANITARY SEWER, POTABLE WATER AND SURFACE WATER ~NAGEMENT ELEMENT; THE SAFETY ELEMENT; THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS PROGRAM; AND THE FOLLOWING APPENDICES: NATIVE HABITATS OF COLLIER COUNTY; NATURAL RESOURCES - COUNTY LEGISLATION; NATURAL RESOURCES - STATE LEGISLATION! NATURAL RESOURCES- FEDERAL LEGISLATION; NATURAL RESOURCES - FACTORS CONSIDERED DURING ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW; MATURAL RESOURCES - REFERENCES; EVALUATION AND APPRAISAL REPORT; COLLIER COUNTY'S POPULATION~ COLLIER COUNTY'S ECONOMY; AND, COMMUNITIES! PROVIDING THAT THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN SET OUT HEREIN SHALL SUPERSEDE ANY AND ALL PREVIOUS COHPREHENSIVE PLAHS APPLICABLE TO THE UNINCORPORATED AREA OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA; AND PROVIDING AN EFFEC- TIVE DATE. WHEREAS, Chapter 163, Florida Statutes, requires that each county and each municipality in the State of Florida shall prepare and adopt a Comprehensive Plan of the type and in the manner set out in the 1975 Local Government Comprehensive Planning Act; and WHEREAS, the Collier County Planning Agency, in the manner prescribed by law, did hold a Public Hearing on the Comprehensive Plan on May 19, 1983, and recommended its adoption by the Board of County Commissioners; and %;HEREAS, th, Board of County Commissioners of Collier County, Florida, did take action in the manner prescribed by law and did hold two Public Hearings on November 1, 1983, and December 6, 1983; and WHEREAS, all applicable substantive requirements of law have been met~ NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA: (-% SECTION ONE: Ordinance, as described herein, shall This cited as the Comprehensive Plan for Collier County, Ft~)rida~ T~ Collier County Comprehensive Plan, attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, shall be the Comprehensive ~lan of Collier County and shall comprehensive plans applicable Collier County.
