AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AMENDING PART ONE~
OF THE "COLLIER COUNTY CONTRACTORS' LICENSING
ORDINANCE", ORDINANCE 78-2, BY,AMENDING SECTION
1.5.2 RELATING TO RENEWAL OF CERTIFICATE OF
COMPETENCY; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA:
SECTION ONE: DECLARATION OF EMERGENCY
The Board of County Commissioners hereby declares that an
emergency exists and that immediate enactment of this Ordinance is
necessary and further, by at least a four-fifths vote of the
Board, waives the notice requirements of this Ordinance.
SECTION TWO:
The Contractors' Licensing Ordinance, Ordinance 78-2, Part
One, Section 1.5.2, specifically relating to Renewal of
Certificate of Competency is hereby amended to read as follows:
1.5.2 - The Building Director shall mail renewal notices
to all licensed contractors at least ~w~-~n~n~%~s one
month prior to the expiration date of the licenses.
SECTION THREE: EFFECTIVE DATE ~ ~
A certified copy of this ordinance, as enacted,~Ishall--be__
filed by the Clerk of the Board with the Department o~ Sta~D ~
the State of Florida as soon after enactment as is pr~tica_~e ~
depositing the same with the postal authorities of th~gove~ment
of the United States for special delivery by certified mail,
postage prepaid, to the Florida Department of State.
This Ordinance shall become effective upon becoming law.
