Ordinance 83-27ORDINANCE NO. 03- 27 AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE ~4ENDING ORDINANCE NO. 82-46, AMENDING, AND EXPANDING, THE BOUNDARY OF THE COLLIER MOSQUITO CONTROL DISTRICT TO INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: "6LL UNPLATTED LANDS LYING EAST OF THE WESTERLY, NORTH-SOUTH SECTION LINE OF SECTIONS 18 AND 19, T0¥~SHIP 52 SOUTH, RANGE 27 EAST AND THE PLATTED LANDS LYING IN GOODLAND ISLES, THE FIRST ADDITION AND THE SECOND ADDITION AS RECORDED IN PLAT BOOK 6, PAGE 7~ PLAT BOOK 8, PAGES 1 and 2; AND PLAT BOOK 8,.. PAGE 19, RESPECTIVELY; AND ALL LANDS LYING IN GOODLAND HEIGHTS AMENDED AND FIRST ADDITION AS RECORDED IN PLAT BOOK 1, PAGE 85 AND PLAT BOOK 4, PAGE 18, RESPECTIVELY; AND ALL LANDS LYING IN PETTIT SUBDIVISION AS RECORDED IN PLAT BOOK 2, PAGE 88 OF THE PUBLIC RECORDS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA; ALL COMMONLY KNOWN AS GOODLAND"; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the boundary of the Collier County Mosquito Control District must be expanded to include the area legally described herein; and WHEREAS, because of the beginning of the mosquito season and the need to take immediate action to prevent the spread of mosquitos and diseases caused thereby, it is determined by the Board of County Commissioners that an emergency situation exists and that the boundary of the Collier Mosquito Control District must be expanded immediately; NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY CO}U4ISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA that SECTION ONE of Ordinance No. 82-46 is amended as follows: SECTION I: * , * * . Amendment to Collier County Mosquito Control Distr~ct. The boundary of the Collier Mosqu'ito Control District, shall be amended, and expanded, to include the following area: Ail unplatted lands l¥in9 East of the Westerly, North-South section line of Sections 18, and 1~, Township 52 South~ Range 27 East and the platted lands lying in Goodlan~ Isles, the First Additi6n and the Second Addition as recorded in Plat Book 6, Page 7; Plat Book 8, Pages 1 and 2; and Plat Book 8, Page 19, respectively; and all lands lying in Goodland Heights Amended and First Addition as recorded in Plat Book 1~ Page 85 and Plat Book 4, Page 18, respectivel¥~ and all lands lying in Pettit Subdivision as recorded in Plat Book 2'{ Page 88 of the Public Records of Collier County{ Florida; all commonly known as Goodland. NOTE~ ~ords underlined are added to existing Ordinance; Words s~ek-~h~h are deletions from existing ordinance. All taxable property within said additional area shall be taxed in accordance with, and for the purposes authorized by, Chapter 388, Florida Statutes (1981), at the millage rate established for the District by the Collier Mosquito Control District Board of Commissioners. SECTION II: Declaration of Emergency This Board does hereby declare that an emergency exists and that immediate enactment of this Ordinance is necessary, and by no less than four-fifths (4/5th) vote of the membership of the Board does waive notice of intent to consider this Ordinance. The Board does find that in order to prevent the spread of mosquitos and the diseases caused thereby that an emergency exists. SECTION III: Effective Date A certified copy of this Ordinance shall be filed by the Clerk of the Board with the Department of State of the State of Florida. This Ordinance shall become effective upon notice of filing with the Secretary of State. PASSED AND DULY ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners, this 31st day of May, 1983.
