AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 81-42
SECTION 20 TO PROVIDE LICENSE FEES FOR
CIRCUSES, CARNIVALS AND SHOWS; PROVIDING
DEFINITIONS; PROVIDING SEVERABILITY AND
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA THAT:
SECTION A.
Section 20 of Ordinance 81-42 is amended by
adding the following to Section 20.5 and
adding a new Section 20.6.
20.5
Exempt from the provisions of this section are
public fairs, expositions and exhibits held by
bona fide non-profit organizations.
"Non-profit" organizations shall be defined and
~-~-~0~ized,"as follows': ~A) church~ a~d/or'-~cu-
menical diocese, and (B) nan- prOfit organizations
reco°nized by the State of'Florida, proof o~ %-~
exempt status must be provided. (State Tax Ex-
emption Number)
20.6
When a "Non-profit" organization sponsors a pri-
~-~te, profit-making show, Circus, rodeo or other
event as delineated in'Subsection (1) of this Sec-
tion, a maximum fee of $150.09 shall be char~ed'to
the operator or owner of the '~rivate, profit-
making enterPrise for the issuance of an occupa-
tional license, said occupational"liC'ense sh'all
expire after seven {7) calendar days. A sponsor,
for purposes of this' Se'ctionf shall be defined as
making showt circus~ rodeo or other event.
SECTION B. This Ordinance shall become effective
receipt of notice that it has been filed with the Secretary
of State.
