Ordinance 84-64 ORDINANCE NO. 10~.3 ~F~O~DI,ANCE .O. 83-13, THE COLL2ER COUNTY STANDARD CODE, TO PROVIDE AUT~O.ITY .E.IOD O' TWEtVE (12) MO~T~., I~ROVZDI~,~ AN WHEREAS, the Board of County Com~tieeloners has determined that there exists a need to grant relief to the construction industry in the form of additional tin~ for the life of certain NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSlONE~ OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDAI SECTION ONEI Section Two, Subsection 106.3 of Ordinance 83-13 is hereby amended to read as followsz 106.3 CONDITIONS OF THE PERMIT ..'.~ Amend section to read as followsz ,-~ The Building Official shall act upon an application Ionia ~Nlrmit with plans as filed, or as Amended, ~ithout or unnece,,sar¥ delay. A permit issued shall be constru'~d to.~ a license to proceed with the work and shall not be construed ae authority to violate, cancel, alter, or set aside any of the provisions of this code, nor shall such issuance of a permit prevent the Building Official from thereafter requiring correction of errors in plans or in construction, or of violations of this code. Every permit issued shall become _~nvalid unless the work authorized by such permit is COA~enced within six (6) months after its issuance, or if the work authorized by such permit is suspended or abandoned for a period of six (6~ months after the time the work is commenced; The Building Official may authorize the extension Of permit for up to one hundred eighty (180) days upon the payment of a filing fee of $25.00 and the assurance that the site will be kept clean and neat.
