AND SEVERA~ILITY; PROVIDING AN

' ' :W"HEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Collier
codhty, F~brida, adopted Ordinance No. 74-3 on January 15, 1974
creating the Golden Gate Fire Control District as a special
purpose district; and
W"MEREAS, Special Act 82-284, Laws of Florida, created the
Golden Gate Fire Control and Rescue District as an Independent
District; and
WHEREAS, the Dependent District created by County Ordinance
No. 74-3 is as a Consequence no longer applicable or necessary;
and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners finds it
appropriate and in the best interests of the citizens of Collier
County to repeal Ordinance No. 74-3.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA that:
SECTION ONE: ~epeal of Ordinance No. 74-3
Ordinance No. 74-3 which established the Golden Gate Fire
Control District as a special purpose district under Chapter
125.01(q), Florida Statutes, is hereby repealed in its entirety.
SECTION TWO: Conflict and Severability
In the event this Ordinance conflicts with any other
ordinance of Collier County or other applicable law, the more
restrictive shall apply. If any phrase or portion of this
Ordinance is held invalid or unconstitutional by any court of
competent Jurisdiction, such portion shall be deemed a separate,
distinct and independent provision and such holding shall not
affect the validity of the remaining portion. ~;
SECTION THREE: Effective Date :~'
This Ordinance shall become effective upon receipt '.~f not, ice
