AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE 1986 REVISIONS
THE 1985 STANDARD MECHANICAL CODE; PROVIDING
FOR CONFLICT AND SEVERANCE, PROVIDING
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Collier County has adopted the 1985 Standard
Mechanical Code, as published by the Southern Building Code
Congress International, Inc., as the Collier County Mechanical
Code; and
WHEREAS, the Southern Building Code Congress International,
Inc., has published the 1~86 revisions to the the 1985 Standard
Mechanical Code; snd
WHEREAS, Collie~-County desires to adopt the 1986 revisions
to the 1985 Standard Mechanical Code thereby incorporating such
revisions into the Collier County Mechanical Code;
NOW, THER~%~RE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF~COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that:
SECTION ONE:
ADOPTION OF THE 1986 REVISIONS TO THE 1985
STANDARD MECHANICAL CODE.
The 1986 revisions including Appendix A as published by the
Southern Building Code Congress International, Inc., said publi-
cation being a revision to the 1985 Standard Mechanical Code, are
hereby adopted by reference as part of the "Collier County
Mechanical Code" to protect the health, welfare, safety, common
interest and convenience of the citizens, visitors and r(:sidents
of Collier County, Florida.
SECTION TWO: CONFLICT AND SEVERANCE.
In the event this ordinance conflicts with any other
ordinance of Collier County or other applicable law, the more
restrictiv,~ shall apply. If any phrase or portion of this
ordinance is held invalid or unconstitutional by any court of
competent jurisdiction, such portion shall be deemed a separate,
distinct, and independent~ provision and such holding shall not
affect the validity of the remaining portion.
SECTION THREE:
EFFECTIVE DATE.
This Ordinance shall become effective upon receipt of notice
from the Secretary of State that this Ordinance has been filed
with the Secretary of State.
