AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE 1986 REVISIONS TO
THE 1985 STANDARD PLUMBING CODE; PROVIDING
FOR CONFLICT AND SEVERANCE, PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
.~WHEREAS, Collier County has adopted the 1985 Standard
Plumbing Code, as published by the Southern Building Code
Congress International, Inc., as the Collier County Plumbing
Code; and
WHEREAS, the Southern Building Code Congress International,
Inc., has published the .~'986 revisions to the the 1985 Standard
Plumbing Code; and
WHEREAS, Coliief:County desires to adopt the 1986 revisions
to the 1985 Standard Plumbing Code thereby incorporating such
revisions into the Collier County Plumbing Code;
NOW, THER~.~-RE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OFfCOLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that:
SECTION ONE:
ADOPTION OF THE 1986 REVISIONS TO THE 1985
STANDARD PLUMBING CODE.
The 1986 revisions including Appendix A, B, C, D, G, and
iljustrations as published by the Southern Building Code Congress
International, Inc., said publication being a revision to the
1985 Standard Plumbing Code, are hereby adopted by reference as
part of the "Collier County Plumbing Code" to protect the health,
welfare, safety, common interest and convenience of the citizens,
visitors and residents of Collier County, Florida.
SECTION TWO: CONFLICT AND SEVERANCE.
In the event this ordinance conflicts with any other
ordinance of Collier County or other applicable law, the more
restrictive shall apply. If any phrase or portion of this
ordinance is held invalid or unconstitutional by any court of
competent jurisdiction, such portion shall be deemed a separate,
distinct, and independent provision and such holding shall not
affect the validity of the remaining portion.
SECTION THREE: EFFECTIVE DATE.
This Ordinance shall become effective upon receipt of notice
from the Secretary of State that this Ordinance has been filed
with the Secretary of State.
