NOTICE OF INTENT TO LEVY THE 5TH AND 6TH CENT LOCAL OPTION
GAS TAX PURSUANT TO SECTION 336.025, FLORIDA STATUTES
WHEREAS, Section 336.025, Florida Statutes, authorizes the County to 1avy ,
the 5th and 6th Cent local option .as tax; and
WHEREAS,. Section 336.025, Florida Statutes, require. the County to enter
into an interloeal agreement with one or more of the municipalities located in
the County prior to July .1, 1985.. or absent such interloea1 agreemant,
require. the County to adopt a re.olution of intent to levy such local option
.ga. tax prior to July 15. 1985; and
WHEREAS, an interlocal agreement with the City of Naple. and the City of
Everglades regarding distribution of the 5th and 6th Cent local option gas tax
proceeds has not yet been finalized.
NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT RESOL.ED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF .
COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that it is the intent of this Board to levy a 5th and
6th Cent local option gas tax effective September I, 1985 and effective for an
initial period of five (5) years from that date, and to enter into an
interlocal agreement with the City of Naples and the City of Everglade.
regarding distribution of the proceeds of such tax.
